Cette suite instrumentale débute avec le Little boy’s reel du violoneux gaspésien Erskine Morris, qu’André a retrouvé grâce à Laura Risk. Le biberon vide est une composition d’André, en souvenir de ce soir où, dans la chaise berçante, Alexis s’endormait enfin. Soudainement, le biberon tristement vide réveilla dramatiquement le petit. Une autre courte nuit qui fut, ma foi, inspirante ! C’est grâce à un tout nouvel instrument qu’Olivier a écrit, dans une chambre d'hôtel de Victoria, pendant une série de concerts symphoniques, le petit dernier de la suite, Le reel banjoline.

This instrumental suite starts with Little boy’s reel by Gaspésie fiddler Erskine Morris, a piece André traced back thanks to Laura Risk. Le biberon vide is an original by André, in memory of that night when, in the rocking chair, Alexis finally fell asleep only for the empty bottle to wake him up again. It was a short night, but an inspiring night alright! The last tune, Le reel banjoline was written by Olivier on a brand new instrument, in a hotel room in Victoria during a string of symphonic concerts.
